The objective of the briefing ‘Role and Responsibilities in the Governance of Regulation’ is to identify for members of Governing Authorities, senior management and other key stakeholders key trends in regulation in Ireland.It will be of value for the regulators and those who must work in regulated environments.

The briefing will address trends in the regulatory environment, the governance of regulatory bodies and the challenges from the perspective of a regulator. The format will include presentations and an open discussion. The speakers will include – Bill Prasifka, Financial Services Ombudsman and former Chairman of the Competition Authority – Colin Scott, Professor of EU Regulation and Governance, UCD – Ambrose Mc Loughlin, Registrar of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland
