Strategy Preparation in Public Bodies

Public bodies are required to develop and present strategies to achieve longer term goals while insuring that the organisation meets immediate challenges.
This briefing will address the development and management of organisation strategies through a discussion of two case examples, an overview of key issues and a discussion involving a panel of experts on developing strategies in a public sector context.
The speakers and panelists bring a wide range of experience in the development of strategies.

  • Graham Love, Head of Strategy, Science Foundation Ireland
  • Eamonn Ryan, Chairman, Food Safety Authority of Ireland
  • Pauline Connolly, Management Specialist, Institute of Public Administration

The event takes place in the IPA Auditorium. Breakfast will be served from 8.00am. The presentations and open forum discussions will run from 8.30 – 10.30am.
