Good Faith Reporting and Combating Fraud

Time
Tue 20 Apr, 07:00 - 09:30
Location
Auditorium, Institute of Public Administration, Lansdowne Road

Procedures for Good Faith Reporting/ Whistleblowing Codes are an important feature of good governance. They should provide a mechanism for staff to report wrongdoing in good faith without fear of suffering repercussions. An organisation must have a process which encourages the reporting of inappropriate practices while taking issue with unfounded allegations.

It is intended to have three presentations covering

  • Policy on good faith reporting
  • The whistleblowing environment in Ireland
  • Where and why fraud occurs

This briefing will encourage an open discussion on the issues and principles which are entailed in an effective good faith reporting policy.
